Do you ever pick up pallets and then wonder what am I going to do with this? I’ve did it once, but now we have tons of scrap wood and I’m always trying to come up with ideas of how to use them. For this months Pinterest challenge, I was inspired by these 4×4 Boo Blocks. This scrap wood craft idea is perfect for using up some of the 4×4 wood we have.The October Pinterest Challenge Blog Hop hosted by My Pinterventures reminds us all not to just pin, but to create and make those pins we save. Supplies for 4×4 Wood Blocks Halloween Craft

4×4 cut into 3 pieces 3.5 inches high
Black craft paint
White vinyl
Cricut Maker or other cutting machine

Let’s Create some Wooden Ghost Halloween Blocks

For the ghost blocks, I wanted them to be square so they are about 3.5 inches high. The wood had a few large marks on them so my husband puttied them with wood putty (he loves to putty everything so the wood is perfect). Then I sanded them down to get them ready to paint (I didn’t want anyone getting a sliver). My little monsters will not be able to resist touching them. The 4×4 will give this Halloween decoration some cute rustic charm.

I chose to paint my blocks black with craft paint. I wanted the Boo and the ghost to be in white vinyl.

Using my Cricut Maker, I added the wood Boo to the front of the painted blocks and some ghost to the back of the blocks in white permanent vinyl. One ghost is spooky, one is cute and one is silly, it’s the perfection combination.

The 4×4 halloween blocks are perfect for putting in a place that both sides of the blocks show.

The blocks can be displayed horizontal or vertical and your kids will love moving them. I really like them horizontal too.

Scrap wood halloween blocks are fun to make because you can personalize them in anyway you want. My kids love ghost for Halloween decorations and I don’t have to many. This way it combines what they love about Halloween and matches the decor I’m trying to create.
