Welcome to “Bling on the Crafts” Craft Blog Hop for bloggers to link and share their sparkly, shiny, or blingy craft posts on the first Monday of each month.

This year my husband and I our celebrated our 5th Anniversary and I wanted to make him something special. I wanted his gift to commemorate us and our history. Every time I read this I smile because our first date was at Applebees and we have never been back. Plus the traditional gift for the 5th anniversary is wood, it worked out perfectly.

This gift can also be made for Valentine’s Day to! This is a great way to celebrate your love and relationship, it doesn’t have to be a milestone to create this beautiful sign.

Supplies:
Square Wood Pallet Plaque by Artminds
White Oracal 651 Glossy Permanent Vinyl
Pink Oracal 651 Glossy Permanent Vinyl
Transfer Tape
Cricut Explore Air™ 2 machine

In Cricut Design Space™ using my Cricut Access Premium I created this sign.

For this project I used a couple different fonts:
Elizabeth (Cricut Font)- 5 Years & Forever
CF Jack Story– Down & To Go
Berrylicious– Mike, Jenny, and it all began at Applebees

For the Elizabeth font I used Font Lab to connect the letters in the font. This was my first time using Font Lab and I love it! It was so easy to use- add your font, write your text, save, upload into Design Space.

I cut all the pieces in White Oracal 651 Glossy Permanent Vinyl
and the heart in pink . First I weeded the vinyl using my Cricut Basic Tool Set .

Then I laid all the pieces on the board to make sure I liked how it looks.

Sign-with-Words

Then start transfering the vinyl to the sign.

Homemade gifts are special because they are made with love and personalized gifts are even better because it tells our story. This will be a keepsake for years to come and I am creating a plan in my head to make a different sign for our 10th anniversay, our 25th anniversary, and more to celebrate us.
