It’s almost The Nightmare Before Christmas season at my house and the kids can’t wait. Since Halloween will be different this year (boo), we are making our home even more Halloween than usual. Creating with Dollar Tree items is the best way to decorate your home on a budget. Today I’m using a stove burner to make this DIY Jack Skellington Door Hanger for the front door.

If you love Jack Skellington, than you will love these DIY Jack Skellington Lights . These lights are also easy to make, great for Halloween or a Jack themed party, and perfect for any one decorating on a budget.

All my crafty friends will be sharing Dollar Store Crafts today so make you visit all of them for some creativity, crafts and inspiration.

Let’s Create a DIY Jack Skellington Door Hanger

Cricut design space jack this is Halloween Door Hanger Decoration

In Cricut Design Space™ I created the Jack Skellington Pumpkin King door decor. Use the above file link to make your own. The design is sized for a 9.5 inch circle. Jack’s smile is creepy and cool, which gives this a great Halloween vibe.

I cut the design in Black Cricut Permanent Vinyl using my Cricut Maker.

Weed the vinyl pumpkin king using the Cricut tools

When you weed the design, only remove this, is and the excess vinyl.

Using transfer tape to add the Jack Skellington design to the door decoration

Next use transfer tape to add Jack to the stove top burner. I added on his Halloween mouth first. By doing this I knew I would have plenty of space for the rest of the face.

Hot glue the ribbon to the back of the stove top cover to hang the halloween decoration

In my ribbon stash, I had black and white striped ribbon from other Jack Skellington crafts like the Jack Skellington Paper Plate Craft. I found this ribbon at Hobby Lobby for 50% off for $1.50. I cut the ribbon to 15 inches and hot glued it to the back of the stove cover burner. Any Halloween ribbon will work for this door decor.
